§ 176-1. License required.

No person shall carry on the business of plumbing within the City, making any connections whatever with the water pipes, water mains, branch sewers, main sewers, drains or other service pipe of said City, or make any repairs, additions or alterations quarry pipe, tip, stop cock, water closet or any other fixture connected with or designed to be connected with the water works or sewer system of said City without first having obtained a license as to do in the manner prescribed herein; and no permit for doing any such work shall be issued except to one who can show himself duly qualified in such work by the presence and timing, provided that one holding a state license shall not be required to take an examination on order to obtain a local license.
